Factsheet on the Impact of Biodiversity Loss on Indigenous Women in Colombia

This fact sheet aims to shed light on how loss of biodiversity disproportionately affects the Indigenous women of Colombia and Brazil, who largely rely on it. Some of the effects are cultural erosion, displacement, exploitation, and health risks, just to mention but a few.

Our, my team and I, findings, most importantly, evidenced the huge gap that is the lack of adequate information and statistics on Indigenous women in Latin America and the Caribbean.
